Jack-in-the-Box

Saint Paul, 7 November 2011

I went to a company picnic dressed as a Jack-in-the-Box
Colleagues pushed my head down, then clicked my lid shut
I realized I should have cut ventilation holes

Eventually a co-worker turned my crank

I waited for my cue
All around the Mulberry Bush,
The monkey chased the weasel.
The monkey stopped to pull up his sock,
Pop! goes the weasel.
Out I popped!
Everyone busted a gut at the spectacle
Instantly I was recognized as outside-the-box
Important people sought my counsel
