Upper 7-Mile Creek

Glendive, 21 March 2011
Longer days of another
abandoned March
deposit river bust up
the size of cattle ranches
on the banks of
Upper 7-Mile Creek

Winter's tectonic plates
transported like literal
landscapes levitating
on fairy dust pushed
through table tops of
respiring pinholes

Island states coughed up
through goal posts below the
mouths of unaccounted rivers
escaped and still at large
