Saint Paul, 28 April 2007

Please ask the doctor
to call my death
in Mountain Time

Divvy up the gold bar
I’ve saved amongst you
and human-kind

Cut the gold in half
then halve it again
and again

Stop when it’s an atom
attended by a swarm
of 79 electrons

It will no longer be gold
with one more cut
but something else
