Uncut Ending

Saint Paul, 10 October 2006

In Hollywood movies
when conventional lives
get progressively worse
the unvarnished life
gets correspondingly better

You and I are as triumphant
as Thelma & Louise

In lives replete with torture
and term life insurance
the slow motion launch
to the arid bluffs of freedom
would be hasty decapitation
by a guardrail guillotine
